Hey there, beautiful souls!
So, today is one of those Saturdays. You know, the kind where you dive headfirst into the couch cushions and let the good times roll. And by good times, I mean binge-watching Law & Order reruns all day long. Oh yes, I’m that person, and proud of it! 🤭
I’m almost at the end of collecting the complete series. Can you imagine? I’ve seen so many episodes that I’m practically ready to don a detective badge and start solving crimes myself. Move over, Briscoe & Logan, there’s a new sheriff in town (well, more like a cozy home detective with a penchant for pajamas, but you get the idea).
Of course, a proper binge-watching session requires the right sustenance. Today’s menu is brought to you by the “Reset Your Metabolism” diet. Ah, the joys of health kicks. I’ve got smoothies lined up, and let me tell you, they’re a riot of resistant starch, pea protein, dark luscious cherries, spinach, and carob powder. But hey, they’re supposed to reset my metabolism, and with only 13 days left, I’m practically a metabolism-resetting ninja.
For dinner, I’ve got a delightful chicken salad planned. You can marinate the chicken with zest and juice from a lime, a teaspoon of sea salt, and a dash of cumin before grilling it to add to the salad. Delicious! The dressing is a simple yet flavorful mix of avocado oil and balsamic vinegar. It’s practically a salad superhero, ready to save me from any hunger pangs that might disrupt my TV marathon.
Do I have things to do? A ton! Balance my budget. Put away clean laundry. Am I going to do it? Of course not. Priorities, people! Detective Logan needs me, and those reruns aren’t going to watch themselves.
So here’s to a happy Saturday, y’all! May your weekend be as thrilling as a Law & Order episode and as refreshing as a smoothie. Remember, whether you’re solving crimes or just trying to figure out how to reset your metabolism, it’s all about the journey and the laughs along the way.
Stay awesome, stay entertained, and enjoy every delicious, drama-filled minute.
Catch you on the flip side,
Yolanda
